In a majestic carnival, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University celebrated the graduation of a new batch of its students for the academic year 2022-2023 courses (Al-Aqsa Deluvan)

The number of graduates (9038) in the primary studies of the technical diploma and technical bachelor’s degree in various disciplines (engineering, administrative, financial, accounting, health, medical, agricultural and applied arts) as well as graduates with master’s degrees and technical doctorates.

Carnival, sponsored by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, witnessed a wide presence of a number of heads of public and private universities (Middle Technical University, Southern Technical University, Dhi Qar University, Kafil University, representative of Jaber Ben Hayyan University of Medical Sciences and representative of Karakh University of Science) and the administrative assistant to the rector and deans and a number of local government officials, teachers, associates, students and the families of graduating students.

The carnival began with a solemn review of the campaign (the emblem of the Republic, the emblem of the Ministry, the emblem of the University) and the flag of Palestine carried on the shoulders of students, and then the students of graduate institutes and colleges and professors, followed by a review of the masters of the members of the University Council and concluded by the rector of the University, on the tune of playing music.

Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zahiry, President of the University of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University , represented by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, gave a speech in which he affirmed that the University is committed to its technical identity and even cherishes that identity, which it believes is the cornerstone of peoples’ progress and advancement of economics in various sectors.

At the same time, the University seeks to modernize the curriculum in order to cope with the needs of the international universities and to meet the market and adopt modern study systems. The adoption of the Bologna course for the first time during the academic year 2022-2023 in the Department of Construction Engineering and Construction after the Minister announced the launch of this system to adopt the technical universities starting in the academic year 2022-2023.

In recent years, the University had adopted many promising initiatives related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the SDG17 proclaimed by the United Nations in its agenda for 2030 by increasing green space by over 10,000 square metres. and the adoption of renewable energies in a number of its vital facilities, and the adoption of a large reconstruction campaign resulting in the opening of many projects in all the university’s formations, including classrooms, laboratories, squares, service facilities, student clubs and administrative buildings The University will soon witness the opening of the largest complex of research laboratories at the level of Iraqi universities to constitute a qualitative shift in the activation of the scientific research movement at the University and be available to all researchers and graduate students from other universities. In recent years, the University has also organized numerous scientific conferences inside and outside Iraq that have had the effect of enhancing the University’s balance in the Scopes and Claudini settlement to reach close to five hundred scientific research and to enter the University into a number of international classifications.

In another aspect of his speech, he referred to the bloody events in beloved Palestine of unjust and unjust aggression against a steadfast Gaza…

The Technical University of Al-Furat Al-Awsat and all its formations had professors, associates and students with honorable postures in which they expressed their support for this Saber people in their struggle until the iconic victory that God willing.

The Rector of the University in his speech blessed all efforts noting that the day of the graduation ceremony is a great wedding for the University.. A day when everyone’s efforts culminated, from professors who spared no effort in delivering their best experience, science and knowledge… Students have been studying, studying and training nights and days. Others from various addresses and locations are working day and night to provide the best for the sustainability of this promising institution. This day was the culmination of everyone’s bid for the graduation of this blessed push.

In his statement, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zahiry recorded his great thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Minister Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, who spared no effort in seeking to sober the educational process and revitalize the scientific research movement throughout our beloved universities by adopting many promising initiatives.

Addressing his graduate children, he continued: “I bless you and your dignified families this culmination of your attestation, which I hope will be a good gateway towards a promising future.
Do not let circumstances and challenges discourage your resolve… Face life’s difficulties with courage and courage and do not let despair find a way into your souls.

The graduate students’ representative made a statement, commending the efforts of the University and the Deanships of Colleges, Institutes, Professors and Associates to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for their students, as well as the science, knowledge and skills they received during their school years, which would enable them to enter the labour market later.

Carnival has a number of events.
It included the award of certificates to graduates of colleges and institutes, the chanting of the department and the candlestick march to mark Gaza’s resilient martyrs, and to conclude the ceremony by distributing gifts to first-class students at university institutes and colleges, and taking memorial photographs.
