It joined Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU) in 2014. The Institute currently represents one of the campuses of ATU University in Northern part of main Samawa City. The Institute offers Technical Diploma degrees (full-time two-year) in various specialization areas such as engineering technologies, management, administration techniques, and medical technologies. The Institute aims to prepare technical staff in the technological, administrative, and medical disciplines qualified to be middle cadres in various sectors by providing technical education that makes the target more distinguished, efficient, and qualitatively to keep pace with scientific and technological developments.
