Prof. Dr. Mudhaffer Sadiq Al-Zahiry, President of Al-Fourt Al-Awsat Technical University, received the Government Information Group of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the State Information and Communication Service of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
With a view to visiting government and investment projects recently adopted by the University, with a view to providing government support and publicizing them.

Al-Zahiry, for his part, accompanied the visiting delegation on a tour to view the most important projects and progress adopted by the University, which were recently implemented by the engineering staff of the Department of Reconstruction and Projects of the University Presidency and its formations for the development of the university environment and infrastructure.

In a statement to the State Media Team, Al-Zuhairy explained that the implementation of these projects is part of the construction and reconstruction campaign adopted by the Presidency of the University since mid-June 2019, which aims to develop the university environment at the University Presidency site and its formations spread across the five governorates (Najaf Ashraf, Karbala al-Holy, Babil, Diwaniyah and Muthana).

One of the most important projects under completion included the project of establishing the largest complex of research laboratories in engineering, medical, health, agricultural, renewable energies and nanotechnology. Dome Hall for Major Meetings Project and Central Library Project and the sports stadium complex project, which includes eight different stadiums and accessories; The project to increase green areas by more than 10,000 square meters and the project to grow 1,000 palms in the university’s formations, which started under the slogan Honour your aunt the Palm and the Grand Festival Square Project and the Student Club Project on the campus in Kufa.

Al-Zuhiry also continued that one of the most prominent projects completed earlier was the Scientific Circles Complex Building, Smart Halls Building, Continuing Education Center, Main Inquiries Building, Interior Swimming Pool of the University Presidency and the Tower of Birth Building, which includes electronic computing departments, scientific affairs, missions, cultural relations and bicycle stations in the context of the Green Transport Initiative and student clubs in a number of university formations, the scientific complex building, the central library of the Najaf Technical Institute, the construction of medical departments, the administrative departments building of the Babylon Technical Institute, the classroom building of the Meseb Technical College, the workshop of the Aircraft Technology Department of the Najaf Engineering College, the building of the Department of Pharmacy and Student Affairs and the Electronic Computing Center of the Technical Institute, As well as classrooms listed and halls for continuing education and for conferences, celebrations, discussions, buildings of scientific departments, classrooms and central square of the Technical Institute, the building of scientific departments of the Renovated Technical Institute, as well as projects for rehabilitation, maintenance and construction of gates covering all the university’s formations.

These projects were implemented by investing the resources of the University’s Higher Education Fund.

A number of other projects are carried out under the territorial development programme in coordination with local governments in the governorates of Najaf al-Ashraf and Muthana.
