Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy Inaugurates the Central Library Building on the University Campus in Kufa

As part of the university’s reconstruction and development efforts to enhance its educational and service infrastructure, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, inaugurated the Central Library building on the university campus in Kufa.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Vices President for Scientific and Administration affairs, deans of colleges and institutes, as well as several guests from other universities, department directors at the university’s headquarters, and a gathering of staff and students from various university departments.
The Central Library building project, covering an area of 1,700 square meters over two floors, includes a large reading hall with a total capacity of approximately 500 students, in addition to a training hall, an electronic library, a section for books and periodicals, as well as scientific and administrative offices and other facilities equipped with modern tools, furniture, and equipment of the highest standards.
In his address, the university president commended the efforts of the engineering and technical staff at the university for the successful completion of this important project, which was achieved within a record time frame and with internal resources, leveraging optimal investment from the Higher Education Fund. He also acknowledged the direct supervision by the Reconstruction and Projects Department at the university and the engineering and technical staff at the Kufa Institute. He emphasized that the opening of this project represents a qualitative leap in improving performance levels and providing a model university environment, confirming that the university’s reconstruction journey will continue with the support of its dedicated staff and students.
Furthermore, the university president honored the committees that contributed to the implementation of this project by presenting them with certificates of appreciation, expressing his best wishes for their success and progress, and acknowledging their dedicated efforts.
