The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, inaugurated several reconstruction projects during his visit to Karbala Technical Institute, including an exhibition of scientific products and another for fine arts organized by the Student Activities Unit at the institute.

The President of the University was received by the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Fadel Mohammed Zaher, as well as the Vice Deans, department heads, and a group of staff and students.

Among the projects inaugurated by Al-Zuhairy was the University Student Club building at the institute, which will provide services to students and staff.

In a statement to the university’s media, the President mentioned that the newly opened club was implemented according to the latest specifications, adding to the series of projects recently completed by the university in all its formations within the geographical area, under the direct supervision of the Reconstruction and Projects Department at the university presidency.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Zuhairy recently inaugurated the Central University Student Club at the university presidency in Kufa for the academic year 2023-2024. He also previously inaugurated the University Student Club at the Technical Institute in Diwaniyah for the academic year 2022-2023. In addition, he started the establishment of student clubs at both the Najaf Technical Institute and the Najaf Engineering Technical College, which are expected to be opened at the beginning of 2024. This comes in the context of the university’s campaign in all its formations to develop infrastructure and create a sustainable and exemplary environment for students and staff.

In the same context, the President of the University inaugurated the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques after its rehabilitation to include a number of classrooms, laboratories that meet the requirements of practical training, as well as administrative offices and service facilities.

The President of the University was accompanied by the Vice Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, deans of the university formations, department directors, vice deans of Karbala Technical Institute, department heads, staff, and students at the mentioned institute.
