Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, inaugurated a workshop on the tasks of the executive committees, the secretary, and the assignments of the government contracts officials in the university formations, organized by the Reconstruction and Projects Department in cooperation with the Continuing Education Department and the Inspection and Internal Audit Department.
The university president opened the workshop with guiding and evaluative instructions, and reviewed a set of observations regarding the reconstruction and construction campaign in the university and its formations to improve the university environment and raise the level of achievement and services provided to all students and university affiliates, and to sustain the work with enthusiasm, stability, and determination in order to achieve the highest level of desired service from these projects.
Dr. Muhand Abdul Zahra Al-Khaghan, the Director of the Reconstruction and Projects Department, explained that the workshop addressed the explanation of the work mechanism and all the procedures related to the executive committees’ tasks, as stipulated in the instructions for implementing the federal budget for the years 2023/2024/2025, and the work contexts according to the effective instructions, regulations, and recommendations of the Financial Control Bureau, in addition to explaining all the procedures related to the work of the committees stipulated in Law No. 21 of 2013, as amended, regarding the sale and lease of state funds, and the progress of work in detail as stipulated by the aforementioned law and all the necessary requirements in this regard.
The workshop was attended by the responsible of the Follow-up Division in the Reconstruction and Projects Department, the responsible of the Government Contracts Division in the Reconstruction and Projects Department, and the responsible of the Legal Unit in the Government Contracts Division. The discussion was opened between the attendees and all the points and topics addressed in the workshop were clarified.
In addition, Mr. Mueen Mohsin Al-Rubaye, the Director of the President’s Office, attended the workshop along with a number of university staff.
