In the context of the university’s construction and development, and its efforts to improve educational and service infrastructure, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, inaugurated the building of the Prosthetics Department and the Information Technology Unit at Al-Musayyib Technical College. He was received by the Dean of the College, Dr. Ali Hassan Al-Zubaidi, and the staff.

The event was attended by the scientific and administrative assistants of the university’s president, as well as a number of deans and department directors at the university’s headquarters, and a group of staff and students from the internal departments of the college.

It is worth noting that the building includes 8 classrooms, each with a capacity of 30 students, administrative offices, a dedicated unit for information technology, and a discussion hall for graduate students with a capacity of 50 students. The total construction area is approximately 1,100 square meters, in addition to the surrounding courtyards covering an area of 500 square meters and gardens covering an area of 2,500 square meters.

The building stands out for its modern architectural design. The classrooms are equipped with educational tools, including smart screens, as well as high-quality audio and furniture systems. This comes as part of the university’s focus on providing an attractive and exemplary academic environment and delivering the best services to students.

Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, The President of Al-Fourt Al-Awsat Technical University, gave a speech in which he emphasized that the university’s development has been progressing in all its departments within the geographical area since June 2019. This has resulted in the opening of many important projects aimed at achieving a model university environment for high-quality education. He also praised the efforts made to improve all aspects of performance to create a sustainable and comfortable university environment for students and professors. He confirmed that there are promising projects that will be implemented in the university and its departments in the near future.

It is worth mentioning that the project was directly implemented by the Reconstruction and Projects Department at the university’s headquarters, along with a number of engineers and technicians from the college. High engineering specifications were adopted to ensure the quality of implementation.

At the end of the opening ceremony, the President of the University honored the committees that contributed to the implementation of these projects, wishing them success and commending their efforts.
