The INSPIRE project’s training workshop (capacity development in higher education) was finished at the University of Bologna in Italy, with eleven Iraqi institutions and four European universities participating.
Prof. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, Chancellor of ATU University, led the ministerial delegation. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Waday, university vice-chancellor for scientific affairs, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Najah Kazem, Director of the Department of Quality Assurance, also attended.
The five-day workshop included presentations from participating institutions on what has been accomplished so far and instruction on the role of universities worldwide and achieving the objectives outlined in the strategic plan for the years 2021-2027.
Prof. Al-Zuhairy, on the other hand, recognized the workshop’s sponsors and organizers in recognition of their efforts.
It should be mentioned that during the workshop, talks were conducted with officials from the University of Bologna to explore future collaboration, and a documentary film was screened on the most significant accomplishments of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU) in recent years.
