The Psychological Support and Educational Guidance Unit at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University’s College of Health and Medical Technologies in Kufa hosted an awareness-raising scientific symposium…entitled “National Awareness and Social Responsibility Portfolio” as part of its scheduled activities.
Assistant Professor Dr. Mortada Muhammad Jawad’s lecture seeks to explain various social and security principles and norms and establish a theoretical framework on the prerequisites for growing security awareness among university students.
The symposium focused on presenting the concepts of awareness, security, and violence and their relationship to societal institutions. They are a shared responsibility rather than solely the state’s responsibility and achieve societal security by warding off internal and external threats.
The symposium emphasized the need to understand that security awareness is a broad term that encompasses all parts of life. It is a duty that falls squarely on the shoulders of society, rather than on one side without the other.
