To encourage sustainable lives and to rehabilitate a number of young people seeking employment in Al-Diwaniyah Governorate. In collaboration with the Al-Khair Humanitarian Organization and with the support of the German Foundation for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Office of Scientific and Advisory Services at the Presidency of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU) organized a number of training courses for young graduates and job seekers at the Diwaniyah Technical Institute. Prof. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, Chancellor of the University, attended the training program’s ending ceremony, the distribution of graduation certificates, and the recognition of exceptional students. In his speech at the ceremony, Al-Zuhairy stated that the university had adopted all initiatives that would serve all segments of society, state institutions, private and mixed sectors, indicating that the university was able to implement promising programs that met the needs of the labor market through its formations spread throughout the governorates of the Al-Furat Al-Awsat region. Al-Zuhairi conveyed his gratitude and appreciation to everyone involved in this activity. Mr. Iyad Al-Mayali, Director of the Civil Society Organizations Department, stated in his speech that the organization’s management confirms its approach to creating job opportunities for young people based on the experiences they gained from the aforementioned programs, in order to push them into the local market. Prof. Dr. Qahtan Adnan Al-Fatlawi, Director of the Office of Scientific and Consulting Services, said that the (Quadrat) project had four courses for the month of March, which included (the course of installing and maintaining refrigeration and air-conditioning devices – a course for checking cars and diagnosing faults in electronic devices – a course on the unified accounting system – the sales and marketing course) And the total number of trainees has risen to 126. Mr. Ali Hussein, the program coordinator, said that the course curriculum comprises full practical field lectures. It was implemented in the institute’s workshops and in the hands of highly competent trainers with extensive expertise, which hastened the trainees’ process of obtaining the necessary skills and experience
