Under the Chancellor of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU) patronage and presence, Prof. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, the university concluded its annual football championship.
Al-Zuhairy stated that there is a great interest and direction on the part of the university to develop the sports movement, develop students’ abilities and encourage sports and student activities, stressing the role of sports in promoting the spirit of love, cooperation, and scientific competition among students.
The director of the Student Activities Department, Mr. Naseer Ahmed, stated that the tournament is part of the department’s curriculum for the first semester, aiming to discover the students’ talents and form the university team to participate in the Iraqi universities championship
