The Chancellor of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU), Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, welcomed his companion Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghabban, the Chancellor of the University of Technology / Baghdad, on a visit to discuss the prospects for scientific and cultural cooperation between the two universities.
Consequently, a joint scientific and cultural memorandum of understanding was signed between the two universities, which included several points, including cooperation in research and scientific publishing, exchanging experiences, providing scientific and research advice, joint supervision, and participation in student and sports activities.
The memorandum also included the theme of hosting seminars and electronic workshops, participating in the editorial and advisory bodies, evaluating scientific journals, and strengthening and enhancing the protection of intellectual property rights following the relevant legislation.
