An embodiment of the core values adopted by Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU), including encouraging creativity, innovation, and excellence, the University Chancellery launched the annual Excellence Day activities for 2020-2021. The Chancellor of the University, Prof. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, attended the ceremony along with the members of the University Council, including assistants and deans, and directors of departments.
The celebration aimed to honor more than three hundred members of the academic staff, technicians, administrators, and service employees with certificates of appreciation and financial rewards, who fulfill the criteria set and adopted in determining excellence by the University.
The ceremony began with reciting any of the Holy Quran and then listening to the national anthem. The Chancellor of the University gave a speech in which he referred to the outstanding achievements of the University during the difficult circumstances the country is going through, foremost of which is the Corona pandemic, stressing that the process of giving, building, and reconstruction will not stop no matter what. He hopes the University will record a promising start in the next academic year, 2021-2022.
At the end of his speech, he extended his thanks and appreciation to all the University’s employees, including teachers, technicians, administrators, and scientific and administrative leaders.
