The Chancellor of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU), Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, attended the second day and the workshop’s closing session on the development of technical and vocational skills education and training auspices of UNESCO held in Erbil City.
The second day’s sessions included panel discussions in determining the priorities and challenges for implementing the qualifications framework for the primary axes of the system.
Prof, Al-Zuhairy referred in his speech to the challenges and priorities related to capacity-building, calling for the adoption of capacity-building programs for all levels concerned with technical and vocational education.
The Chancellor of the University also participated with other universities’ chancellors in formulating the final recommendations for the workshop.
It is worth noting that chancellors of technical universities attended the two-day workshop, high-level officials from the Ministry of Higher Education and relevant ministries, as well as local and foreign experts.
