As per the joint cooperation between ATU University and the local labor market, Chancellor of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU), Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, inaugurated the technical educational studio along with an interactive meeting room in cooperation and coordination with Asiacell Company. The university Chancellor indicated that the newly established virtual studio will be used for better and enhanced lecturing techniques at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU), which uses light board technology linked with electronic learning platforms and social media sites. Noting that the use of light board technology to record lectures electronically allows the lecturer to face his students, making electronic education more effective, pointing out that this initiative is almost the first of its kind in Iraq and will be a qualitative transfer in the field of e-learning. It is worth noting that the university’s Chancellor had earlier inaugurated a similar studio implemented by the specialized IT staff at the University’s main chancellery site. The university vice-chancellors attended the inauguration for scientific affairs and administrative affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Weddey and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Mohsen Al-Majtoumi, respectively. It was also attended by a group of Deans of the university technical colleges and institutes, the governor’s advisor for higher education affairs, the director of marketing and public relations for the Asiacell company.
