Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University Organizes a Seminar on Antibiotics

The Department of Biological Resistance Techniques at the Technical College of Mussayab at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University in cooperation with the Scientific Division organized a seminar on antibiotics, entitled “Be smart and know when antibiotics work”
The seminar was moderated by Dr. Iman Jawad Kazem and Dr. Adel Obaid Hassouni and attended by a large audience of academics, associates and students.
The aim of the seminar is to identify antibiotic resistance and its dangers, pointing out ways of preventing them, as well as discussing the role of universities to reduce this habit that risks the public health.
The seminar included several aspects, the most important of which is how bacteria become resistant to antibiotics and what are the possible consequences of antibiotic resistance as well as the side effects of antibiotics and their alternatives.
