At Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, we understand that to truly make a difference to the world our research needs to be conducted with a global perspective.
We’ve developed key research partnerships and collaborations with universities, institutes, governments, corporations and individual researchers across Iraq and internationally to tackle some of the big issues facing the planet – from how best to deal with climate change, to meeting the medical and engineering challenges of our times and helping the world feed its growing population.

The University Global Partnership Network (UGPN) is focused on creating a foundation for international collaboration enabling academics and students from some of the world’s top universities to work together on issues of global importance.
